Februray Webinar on Active Shooter Training

Join John E. Busch, Protective Security Advisor-Wisconsin, U.S. Department of Homeland Security on February 2 at noon to discussion Active Shooter Awareness and Preparedness. This webinar will assist individuals in recognizing and understanding the current threat environment from an active shooter perspective, identify pre-incident indicators and enable individuals to recognize the pathway to violence, introduce the DHS/FBI Run. Hide. Fight. concept and discuss how this can be utilized by individuals in all types of environments and share additional tools, training, and resources to individuals and organizations can utilize to better prepare themselves to this type of threat.

John Busch currently serves the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as the Protective Security Advisor (PSA) for the State of Wisconsin. Prior to this appointment, he served for 3 years as the PSA for Northern Illinois and the City of Chicago. Mr. Busch is dedicated to supporting the nation’s efforts to ensure a safe and resilient America. In this roll, Mr. Busch provides infrastructure protection reach-back capacity for both the private sector and state and local partners. He also aids and assists in the protection and enhancement of existing critical infrastructure within the region. Mr. Busch also contributes to the development of the national risk picture by assisting with the identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation of risk to critical infrastructure at the regional, state, and local level.
